The Department of Nursing is a dynamic and interdisciplinary education program that aims to train nurses, one of the cornerstones of health services. Our program, which aims to train professionals competent enough to respond to modern health needs, offers students a comprehensive education by blending theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
Our department's curriculum has been prepared in accordance with the nursing education criteria in international countries and the national core curriculum; our students complete their education by taking elective courses covering different disciplines such as the basic medicine, science, social and behavioral sciences on which general nursing is based, as well as departmental courses such as Fundamentals of Nursing, Internal Medicine Nursing, Surgical Diseases Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, Child Health and Diseases Nursing, Public Health Nursing, Management in Nursing, Nursing Education, and Mental Health and Diseases Nursing. The applications of the departmental courses in the curriculum are completed in the form of one-on-one practice on real patients in the clinics of public and private hospitals.
Our students who graduate from the nursing department, one of the professions with the highest employment rate in the world and in our country, will have the opportunity to work abroad as well as in public and private hospitals. If they complete their postgraduate education, they will be able to specialize and practice their profession as specialist nurses in hospitals or in academia.
