About

The Istanbul Galata University Faculty of Dentistry began its educational life by admitting its first students in the 2020-2021 academic year. As of the 2021-2022 academic year, the “English Dentistry Undergraduate Program” is also carried out at our Faculty.  

The dentistry education period is five years. The first three years of our education program consist of basic medical sciences and dentistry courses and practical applications. Our pre-clinical education is carried out at our university's Galata Campus, in phantom laboratories and classrooms equipped with the latest technology, in a way that will enable our students to receive a well-equipped pre-clinical education. In this way, our students have the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical applications. 

 In the 8 departments within our Faculty's Department of Clinical Sciences, there is a very strong academic staff, each competent in their own fields, possessing contemporary knowledge and skills, researchers, who have grasped the importance of evidence-based dentistry; and who have vision on national and international platforms. It is also continuously growing and strengthening with our valued faculty members who newly join our staff.  

As the Istanbul Galata University Faculty of Dentistry, our mission is to train researcher and innovative dentists who, in the light of ethical values, are equipped with scientific knowledge and competencies and can provide health services to society. Our vision is to be a dentistry faculty recognized, preferred and respected at national and international levels. In this direction, by adopting the principles of continuous development and innovation, we aim for excellence in education.  

Our Faculty stands out not only with dentistry education but also with social responsibility projects and research activities that aim to contribute to public health. Our students are offered opportunities to participate in scientific research and to develop themselves in this field.
