The rapid development of digital technologies and the exponential increase in the amount of data are increasingly raising the need for individuals competent in the fields of data science and analytics. Training professionals specialized in fields such as big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, business intelligence and data mining has become a great necessity for both the public and private sectors in today's data-driven world. The fact that decision-making processes have become data-driven in many sectors such as health, finance, e-commerce, manufacturing and marketing further increases the demand for qualified human resources in this field.

In this direction, the opening of the Data Science and Analytics department at our university aims to train the competent individuals needed in the rapidly growing data ecosystem and, by offering students an education compatible with today's technologies, to bring well-equipped data specialists to the labor market. By offering an interdisciplinary education model covering subjects such as statistics, programming, machine learning and big data technologies, our department aims for students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with applied projects. In addition, thanks to a curriculum developed in cooperation with the sector, students are encouraged to be able to produce data-driven solutions to real-world problems.

The Data Science and Analytics department to be opened at our university aims to contribute to the digital transformation process by training data scientists with the knowledge and skills to compete on a local and global scale, and to meet our country's need for competent human resources in the field of information technology and data analytics.
