About Us

The Coaching Education Department, which provides four-year undergraduate education within the Istanbul Galata University Faculty of Sport Sciences, aims to popularize sports culture and to train qualified individuals in the field of sport. The mission of the department is to provide a universal sports education with original and ethical values and to use the acquired knowledge for the purpose of serving society. Its vision is to be an institution with high sports education quality, team spirit, a participatory structure, internationally respected, academically and professionally competent, and that has adopted an innovative and free style of thinking. In the department, the aim is to train successful professionals in the field of sport by providing students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The Coaching Education Department offers specialization training in various sports branches and provides students with the opportunity to obtain coaching certificates in accordance with the regulations of the General Directorate of Sports. Graduates can be employed in different fields in the sports industry.  

The Istanbul Galata University Faculty of Sport Sciences, in addition to the quality education it will provide, is a modern, contemporary educational institution that offers its students an enjoyable educational life with its various social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities, and is also an educational institution that supports the economic, social and cultural development of the environment in which it is located and is at the same time a center of production and attraction.
