Today, when globalization is increasing rapidly and international trade is becoming increasingly important, foreign trade is a critical sector for countries to achieve economic growth and sustainable development goals. With its strategic geographical location and dynamic economy, Türkiye is rapidly progressing toward becoming an important player in world trade. In this context, the demand for educated professionals in the field of foreign trade is increasing, and the need for a qualified workforce in the sector is becoming more apparent day by day.

Foreign trade does not consist solely of moving goods and services across borders, but also includes many complex processes such as customs procedures, logistics, exchange rates, trade agreements and the legal regulations of international trade. Professionals in this field need to be able to manage export and import processes effectively by understanding the dynamics of both local and international trade well. While Türkiye's foreign trade volume increases every year, the need for individuals specialized in the field of foreign trade is also increasing, especially in line with the Customs Union agreement with the EU and its open economy.

The Foreign Trade Associate Degree Program aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills in fields such as the fundamental concepts of international trade, export and import processes, customs procedures, trade policies, logistics and international marketing. In addition, the program will also offer practical knowledge on how foreign trade is used as a strategic tool in the business world. Students will graduate prepared for the sector by acquiring the theoretical infrastructure and practical skills necessary to take an active part in all processes of foreign trade.

Students who graduate from the program will be able to take on roles in foreign trade companies, export and import firms, the logistics sector, customs consultancies, chambers of commerce and public institutions. In addition, they will be able to create opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship. The Foreign Trade Associate Degree Program is being opened with the aim of increasing Türkiye's effectiveness in the global trade arena and contributing to the economy by training competent professionals in the field of foreign trade.
