The physiotherapy program is a health science field that serves to help individuals who experience functional loss developing congenitally or subsequently due to trauma, injury or any disease to recover, and to increase their quality of life and independence.
As the Vocational School Physiotherapy Program within our University, our students are provided with 2 years of education including applied and theoretical courses oriented toward their field. The language of the program is Turkish.
Our students who graduate from this program receive the title of ‘Physiotherapy Technician’. Physiotherapy Technicians are auxiliary health personnel who, as a result of the education they receive, work on physical therapy methods and applications under the supervision of a physical therapy physician and physiotherapist in accordance with multidisciplinary principles.
Physiotherapy Technicians can work in hospitals, private health institutions, special education centers, sports/health centers, sports clubs, nursing homes, and spa and thermal facilities, and in hotels oriented toward health tourism.
Students in this department can transfer to the undergraduate departments of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services, and Health Management through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
