The "Echoes of Japan" exhibition has been presented to art enthusiasts

A personal photography exhibition by architect and artist Beste Aykut, titled "Echoes of Japan: The Art of Urban and Natural Contrasts," was opened at Istanbul Galata University and Frej Coffee & Arthouse.

The exhibition, organized on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Turkey, offers art lovers the opportunity to explore Japan in all its aspects.

During the opening of the exhibition, architect and artist Beste Aykut and Istanbul Galata University Vice President of the Board of Trustees and founder of Frej Coffee & Arthouse, Dila Bulut Derya, gave speeches.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by Istanbul Galata University Board of Trustees President Nilüfer Bulut, Rector Prof. Dr. Şeyma Aydınoğlu, Board of Trustees Member Kezban Hatemi, Deputy Consul General of Japan Mitsuhiro Toyama, ARTİstanbul Feshane Director Bahar Çelik Omur, and Head of the Cultural Events Department of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Gül Ayşe Eken.

The exhibition features 50 black-and-white photographs taken with an analog camera by Aykut, focusing on Japan's natural and urban fabrics. The photographs cover a wide range, from the serene natural landscapes of Japan to the bustling city life. The exhibition aims to highlight the relationship between nature and architecture, encouraging viewers to reflect on the beauty of these contrasts and Japan's aesthetic understanding.

The exhibition is located at Frej Coffee & Arthouse, nestled within the historic fabric of Galata, which has hosted many civilizations, and will be open for art enthusiasts to visit until August 30.
